Marketing Vs. Branding

"Are marketing and branding the same thing? If not, how are they different?"

Marketing: A set of tools, strategies, and processes used to advertise and promote products, services, or companies.

Branding: A marketing practice of thoughtfully determining who you are as a business. This includes: mission, values, and what sets you apart from competitors. These are represented by logo, website, and other visuals.

You should have strategies for both- they have different goals and different results: šŸ” or 🐣? Branding comes first, Marketing comes second šŸ‘©ā€šŸ’¼ Marketing grabs customer attention; Branding holds on to it šŸ‘©ā€šŸ« Branding increases recognition and loyalty; Marketing increases sales šŸ‘©ā€šŸ’»Marketing strategies are ongoing and evolve; Branding is ā€œforeverā€ šŸ‘« Branding not only impacts your customers - it also impacts your team šŸ—“Branding is a long-term strategy. Marketing is an ongoing series of tactics. Still lost? I'd be happy to walk you through both and develop branding and/or marketing strategies for your business. The best part: Your first consult is ✨FREE✨
