Here's the "short story, long" version:
🍪 Starting in 2013, I worked at Serendipity Cafe & Hobson's Homemade: I started as a cashier and barista, then worked my way up to leadership positions. When I launched my biz, I was thrilled the owners were interested in working with me. While working here, I also met the owner of ...
🥋 Mass BJJ (Acton), where I worked for nearly 7 years. I started as a receptionist and quickly added on more responsibilities (whether the owner, Nate, asked me to or not... thanks, Nate!) - including event coordination, personnel management, inventory, sales + marketing, and more.
⏳I worked 80+ hours per week when I was 18, 19, 20 years old - across multiple part time jobs. When I dropped down to working 50-60 hours per week, that almost felt like working part time 😅
🚘 I worked at European Auto Solutions as soon as my dad, one of the founding partners, let me - I'd answer phones, stock coffee, & file paperwork. Over the years I worked as a receptionist, executive assistant, and marketing assistant - where I had the opportunity to learn from nationally recognized marketing & business experts (and frankly, I learned more during that time than I did in any college course).
🩰 My very first "real" job as a young teen was a dance teacher & choreographer at Dance On... Dance Center; during college I taught classes at Miss Tricia's Dance Studio - I also taught group fitness classes (Zumba, Yoga, Spin, Kickboxing, Strength Training, etc.) at several local gyms.
More miscellaneous and interesting facts:
💍 My first "small business venture" was when I was about 10 years old and I tried to sell jewelry that I made myself. I had business cards and magnets that I made to advertise... and while I'm not sure I sold many (any?) pieces of jewelry, I have always had that entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to share my ideas.
👩💻 More than just social media ... while I love to "get social" and am happy to help clients with social media management and building social strategies, I also offer: marketing consulting, events management, print and email marketing, website design, and more!
