Leia Owen Named Best Photographer/Videographer - Winner in the 2026 MetroWest Community’s Choice Awards

So much of my work starts with helping someone else be seen: a business owner sharing what they do, a community organization inviting people to get involved, or a local event bringing neighbors together.
Being recognized for that work is a moment I am grateful to share.
Leia Owen - Marketing & Business Consultant, LLC, was named the Photographer/Videographer winner in the 2026 MetroWest Community’s Choice Awards.
Thank you to everyone who nominated my business, voted, shared the opportunity, or supported my work along the way. To my clients and collaborators: thank you for trusting me to help tell your stories. This recognition is connected to the people, businesses, and organizations who give that work its purpose.
Visual Storytelling With a Marketing Purpose
A photograph can help someone understand a business before they ever walk through the door. Video can introduce the people behind a service, share the energy of an event, or explain something that is difficult to communicate in a single sentence.
When I think about visual content, I think about what the audience needs to understand. What would help a prospective customer feel more familiar with this business? What should someone know before attending an event? Which details communicate the care behind the work?
Those questions connect photography and video to a larger marketing strategy. They help turn a collection of images into content that has a clear role on a website, in a social post, or as part of an email campaign.
This award recognizes the Photographer/Videographer category specifically. I am especially grateful for the opportunity it gives me to highlight how visual storytelling fits into the broader work I do with local businesses.
Helping Local Businesses Show Their Work
Small businesses have stories worth telling every day. Sometimes the challenge is finding time to capture them while also running the business.
A useful content plan makes room for those real moments. It might introduce a team member, show a service in progress, answer a common customer question, or help people picture themselves attending an upcoming event.
Before creating content, it helps to ask where it will be used. A website image, a vertical social video, and a newsletter feature may each need a different approach. Planning around those uses can help a business get more value from the time it spends creating media.
For business owners who feel overwhelmed by marketing, that planning is part of the support I want to provide: a clearer purpose, an organized process, and content that feels connected to the business.
Rooted in Hudson and Connected Across MetroWest
My work connects me with businesses and organizations in Hudson, Marlborough, Maynard, Sudbury, and the wider MetroWest and Central Massachusetts region.
That local connection matters to me. Understanding a community helps me ask better questions and recognize the details that make a story meaningful. It also creates opportunities for introductions, collaborations, and shared visibility.
You can see examples of my visual work in the photography portfolio, and learn more about the community initiatives I support on my sponsorships page.
Thank You for Letting Me Be Part of Your Story
To every client who has welcomed me into their business, shared an idea, or asked for help bringing a project to life: thank you.
Thank you, too, to the team members, collaborators, and community partners who help make this work possible. Creative work depends on trust and participation. People make time, share knowledge, and allow someone else to help communicate what matters to them.
This recognition is a welcome reminder of those relationships. I am grateful to be doing work that connects creativity, business, and community.
