Introduction to TikTok

๐•Ž๐•™๐•’๐•ฅ ๐•š๐•ค ๐•‹๐•š๐•œ๐•‹๐• ๐•œ? TikTok is a social network for video sharing (similar to Vine); users share videos of dancing, singing, jokes, and lip-syncs... you can think of it as socially-distanced karaoke ๐Ÿ˜

Like Facebook, Instagram, etc. - There are currently business profile options and paid ad opportunities.

However, there are no ways to directly make money from TikTok. Many popular users reach their followers through TikTok videos but send them over to Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, etc. It's important to note that, similar to SnapChat and a few other platforms, the average age of TikTok users is younger than networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. I might recommend TikTok for musicians, artists, and performing arts organizations, as well as anyone looking to further develop their personal brand - but probably not for retailers, restaurants, etc. The bottom line: When choosing whether or not to invest your time or money into a social platform, identify your target demographic and which platform they are using the most (I can help you with this!).
